Why You Should Have A Rental Car The Next Time You Travel
11/18/2008
Traveling could be both a fun and enjoyable thing or a nightmare. It all depends on you whether you're set on having a good time while you're out. Whether you're in another city for business or pleasure, it's always a good idea to have your own set of wheels the whole time you're in town. What's the difference between having a rental car at your disposal and not having one?
Well, how fast can you get to the other side of town through commuting? However, if you're in highly populated areas like New York or Los Angeles, maybe it's a better idea to stick to public transport. After all, heavy traffic and parking spaces two or three blocks away from where you want to go might be the only memory you'd have from your trip.
1. You can go wherever you please, whenever you want.
That's the beauty of having your own car wherever you go. No rules, no boundaries, and no place that's too far to reach. But since you're in a city that's not your hometown, it's better to rent a car. After all, it can definitely be put to good use. When you're shopping, you've got all that trunk space to keep your purchases safe from any theft or misplacing. And if you need to go somewhere in the dead of night, you have no need to worry about shady cab drivers or even no cab at all. After all, you've got the luxury of having your own car to go places near and far.
2. Avoid those long subway lines and cut-throat fighting over taxi cabs.
That's the problem of having to commute. You're subjected to waiting lines, delays and what not. If you're unwilling to go through all that just to save a buck or two, rental cars might as well be on your mind the next time you travel. Just make sure though that you know your way around the place. But if you're lucky enough to have a rental car that's got GPS installed, then why not right? Having your own car going to wherever you please means that you're not limited by schedules and routes. You make your own path or in that case your GPS device does. But hey, that just means no more walking the extra two or three blocks to get to where you have to be.
3. You can cruise around the city you're in, if you like.
There's nothing like a nice slow day where you can have the luxury of taking a nice pleasure cruise around town with your rental car. With gas prices on the decline, we're now finally able to take a little more extra trips around town. But of course, doing this more times than necessary would be a complete waste of gas and money although there's nothing like a pleasure cruise around a beautiful city to get acquainted with the place. Who knows, you might stumble upon a romantic little restaurant that you can bring your date to.
